For the first time in a modern driver design, TaylorMade has moved away from traditional titanium construction in favour of lightweight aluminium. The Qi4D Max features a precision-machined collar made from 7075 aircraft-grade aluminium, produced to exceptionally tight tolerances.
This innovative material choice allows engineers to retain full adjustability within a maximum-MOI head shape, while freeing up discretionary mass. The weight savings enable improved stability and forgiveness without compromising clubhead speed.
The Qi4D Max is equipped with two Trajectory Adjustment System weights (13g and 4g), providing an efficient method of fine-tuning launch and spin characteristics. This setup allows golfers to tailor ball flight to match their swing profile and playing conditions.
A 4° loft sleeve adds further versatility, allowing adjustments to loft, lie, and face angle to help optimise launch conditions and overall performance.
An updated face roll radius helps deliver more predictable spin and launch across a wider range of vertical impact points. This design supports reliable carry distance and consistent ball flight on both centred strikes and common miss-hits.
The proven 60x Carbon Twist Face remains central to performance, offering significant weight savings over titanium while promoting fast ball speeds and consistent results across the face. Custom build options can also include reflective fitting markers to support detailed launch monitor analysis.
A refined cut-through Speed Pocket helps preserve ball speed and manage spin on low-face impacts, a frequent strike location for many golfers. Advanced CAD shaping also contributes to a solid, confidence-inspiring sound and feel at impact.

REAX shafts are developed using insights from more than 11 million recorded golf shots, creating a data-led approach to shaft fitting. Designed to align with a golfer's natural rotation tendencies, the REAX platform helps improve centred contact, distance consistency, and directional control.
