Thanks to the special weaving techniques employed in the manufacture of the fabric used for Galvin Green Insula garments, the volume of the actual fabric can be increased by as much as 80%. This increased volume enables air to be trapped in the fibres of the material, air that is then heated by thebody and provides excellent thermal insulation. The material itself is extremely light and capable of holding a large volume of air. The finish of the material is exceptionally smooth and comfortable to wear. Galvin Green Insula garments are the ideal ³third layer² when protection from cold, rather than wind or rain, is required. Galvin Green Insula garments also have an optimum level of breathability which enables moisture from perspiration to be transported away from the body.
