The new MacGregor MacTec NVG2 Titanium drivers feature a weld-free face and quadra-weighting: MacGregor has created a number of breakthrough technologies in 2007 that help golfers of all skill levels launch the ball higher with less spin for more distance, while offering substantial forgiveness.

No face welds - Proprietary Plasma welding is completely off the TVC Beta-Titanium Cup Face, enabling maximum rebound properties over a bigger hitting area - 30% larger than standard face insert technology. The entire face is the sweet spot.
Quadra Action Fujikura graphite shaft features proprietary 3-bend point, 4-zone shaft for added clubhead speed without added effort. Leaving no technological advantage unrealized, our R&D team has strategically placed four Tungsten weights in the MACTEC clubhead. 8 and 6 gram Tungsten weights in the heel help create low, deep CG which optimizes launch and draw bias properties. Dual 2.5 gram Tungsten weights—one each in the extreme heel and toe—enhance MOI for more clubhead stability and accuracy.
Quadra Tungsten Weighting disperses the force among 3 points providing maximum stability. 2 light weights at the heel and toe, and 2 heavier weights anchored close together in the sole, moves the CG low and deep for an easy high launch, increased forgiveness and greater accuracy.
One-piece body structure engineered with incredibly thin crown allowing the weight to be redistributed low and deep via Tungsten weights.
